How an independent artist sells her music without the middleman
An independent artist sells her music and merch straight to her fans.
She runs the whole store herself, on WordPress and WooCommerce, and keeps what she earns.
Her goal was never a website. It was ownership. She wanted the money from her music and her merch to come to her directly, instead of being filtered through platforms that take a cut and control the relationship with her fans.
So I built her a home base on WordPress and WooCommerce. Fans stream and buy her music and her merchandise in one place that is unmistakably hers. Inside it, a content management system lets her add, change, and update everything without me.
That last part is the whole point of the story. The win isn’t that I built a nice platform. It’s that she walked away independent. She owns the store, she runs the store, and she keeps what she earns. I was the guide. The platform is hers.
Her music earned through platforms that took a cut and owned the relationship with her fans.
