Privacy Policy — Today I Learned

Today I Learned is a personal learning journal. Your privacy is simple: the app collects nothing about you, and your entries never leave your device unless you choose to export them.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDK that phones home.
Where your data lives
Everything you write — entries, tags, and settings — is stored only in a private database on your device. We cannot see it, and it is not backed up to us or anyone else.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere.
Backups you create
If you use “Export,” the app creates a backup file and hands it to your device’s share sheet so you can save it where you like (Files, iCloud, email, etc.). The app does not upload this file anywhere — what happens to it after you save it is up to you and the service you choose. The backup file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere private.
Crash reports
If the app hits an unexpected error, it shows a recovery screen with an optional “Email the details” button. A report is sent only if you tap it, and only to the address below, using your own mail app. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
Links
Tapping a link you saved opens it in your device’s web browser. From that point the website’s own privacy policy applies.
Children
The app is safe for all ages because it collects no data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above.
