We do NOT collect your personal information. Everything stays on your device.

 

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how KAYJO, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Wake Check App (“the App”).

 

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number

  • Your location data

  • Your browsing history

  • Your favorite restaurants

  • Your search queries

  • Any other personal information

 

3. How the App Works

All App data is stored locally on YOUR device:

  • Favorites/Watchlist: Stored on your device only

  • Viewing History: Stored on your device only

  • Notification Preferences: Stored on your device only

  • App Settings: Stored on your device only

We cannot see this data. It never leaves your device.

 

4. What Happens to Your Data

Because everything is stored locally:

  • If you delete the App, all your data is deleted

  • If you get a new phone, your data does NOT transfer

  • We cannot recover your data if you lose it

  • We have no backup of your data

 

5. Internet Connection

The App requires internet to:

  • Download restaurant inspection data from Wake County public sources

  • Fetch supplemental information from Google Places API

  • Check for App updates

We do NOT track what you search for or view.

 

6. Third-Party Services

Google Places API

The App uses Google Places API to show:

  • Restaurant ratings

  • Restaurant photos

  • Restaurant contact information

Google’s Privacy Policy applies to this data. Google may collect information about API requests. Visit https://policies.google.com/privacy to learn more.

 

Wake County Data Sources

Restaurant inspection data comes from public Wake County sources:

  • data-ral.opendata.arcgis.com

  • public.cdpehs.com

These are publicly available government databases. Their privacy policies apply to their data.

 

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

 

8. Analytics and Tracking

We do NOT use:

  • Google Analytics

  • Facebook Pixel

  • Crash reporting tools

  • Usage tracking

  • Any analytics services

We have no idea how you use the App.

 

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App does NOT use cookies or tracking technologies.

 

10. Data Security

Because we don’t collect your data, we can’t lose it in a data breach.

Your local data is as secure as your device. We recommend:

  • Using a device passcode

  • Keeping your operating system updated

  • Being cautious about who has physical access to your device

 

11. Your Rights

Since we don’t collect your data, there’s nothing to:

  • Request access to

  • Request deletion of

  • Request correction of

  • Request a copy of

All your data is already in your control on your device.

 

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we start collecting data in the future (which we have no current plans to do), we will:

  • Update this policy

  • Notify you in the App

  • Require your consent before collecting anything
